Of the Earth Night & Day

I really need to try and get a better picture of this card. It is actually kind of pretty in person, but still unusual especially for me. This is for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast (Yes, I'm allowed to say Splitcoast on here!) this week.

Another one of those projects that really took a turn. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red craft ink (seriously!) then intended to emboss with clear so that this would be black & white with a pop of red... well, I accidentally used white EP and kept wondering when the red was going to melt through. DUH! Well, then I decided to sponge with my basic black ink pad and stick with the B&W color scheme. Of course I'd forgotten how frustrating the black ink pad can be- it is a perfect match to the Elegant Eggplant paper which I ended up HAVING to go with. Anyway, I still like the end result but it's a bit off from my first two plans!

So glad you stopped by to visit today! I'd love to hear from you.
